What I actually want in a pitch
A tech reporter walks through the three things that make them open an email — and the one that makes them delete it.

1) What’s the best way to pitch you?
Via email
2) What’s the best time to pitch you?
First thing in the morning.
3) Other than your own, which is your favorite publication to read?
The Hollywood Reporter
4) Who’s your favorite journalist?
I don't have a favorite.
5) What kind of stories interest you?
I really enjoy a wide variety of stories. Aside from tech, I love reading about scientific breakthroughs, history, entertainment. I love to switch it up.
6) What tips would you give someone pitching you?
Get. To. The. Point.
7) What will you never write about?
I have no idea (Where we're going, there are no rules)
8) Star Wars or Star Trek?
Don't make me choose!
