Perfectly Sliced - December 2022

Our clients are making headlines with launches and funding this month

November was turbulent for the tech space. Villains have risen, titans have fallen, and it’s given all of us the opportunity to reflect on how resilient our industry despite all the ups and downs. That makes me optimistic for a better, stronger, more stable 2023. But before we get there, it’s valuable to take stock of what November meant not just for SlicedBrand, but for all of us.

There were several seismic shifts to contend with this month, and any one of them would keep the average tech PR agency busy for a year. Elon Musk dominated social media news, and the rapid disintegration of the FTX crypto exchange continues to unsettle and disturb an already volatile market.

But there was also progress, success, development, building, and continuity. The fall of FTX showed us that the crypto market has reached a critical mass such that it can ride out storms and come through, after some self-reflection, with a renewed sense of purpose.  I’ve written previously on Forbes about what PR does and does not do. This month, I wrote a piece for the International Public Relations Association about which KPIs we can and cannot measure when it comes to PR’s effect on brand awareness and reputation. You can check that out here.

Our clients have been offering a wealth of helpful insights for companies in the tech space, including tips about communication in the financial industry, managerial mindfulness, the importance of multisignature wallets, and more. Here are some highlights.
